A private journal for small stops on big trips. Save places on a map, add ratings and notes, and see your travels and achievements.
Version 1.2 adds five postcard layouts, an easier way to choose a past visit’s location, and venue names and types. This description does not mean the update is already available in your App Store.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add a stop without location access?
Yes. In version 1.2, tap “Mark a spot” → “Choose on the map”, search by place name or address or move the map beneath the pin, then confirm the point. This selection does not require location access. In versions 1.0 and 1.1, press and hold the map to choose a place. To allow access to your current location later, open iOS Settings → the app → Location.
Where are my entries stored?
In the app's local storage on your iPhone. The app has no accounts, public feed or CloudKit synchronization. Its data may be included in normal device backups according to your Apple settings.
How accurately is a place saved?
In version 1.2, the app saves newly selected map points without extra rounding or displacement. If you choose your current location, accuracy depends on the data supplied by iOS and the Precise Location setting. Versions 1.0 and 1.1 saved points on an approximately 80-metre grid. Earlier entries keep their saved coordinates; updating does not restore their original precision.
How do I record a past visit?
In version 1.2, tap “Mark a spot” → “Choose on the map”, select the point and set the date in the form. Use “Yesterday” for a visit from the previous day. Saving creates a separate entry; other visits stay unchanged.
How do I record a specific venue?
In version 1.2, in the visit form, choose a venue found near the selected point or tap “Find places nearby”. You confirm the venue yourself; the nearest place is not chosen automatically. You can also enter the name and type, such as café, bar or station, yourself. A type is filled in only when Apple supplies a recognized category. If a station or another venue has no known category, choose the type yourself. The app does not infer a type from the name. These fields are saved with your visit; each has a separate postcard control.
What does “Maybe share later” mean?
It is a local preference for the future. It does not publish an entry or send it to anyone. Both visibility settings keep the entry on your device.
Why couldn't the app find an address?
In version 1.2, Apple’s service looks up an address using the selected point. A house number is saved with the address when Apple returns one. Versions 1.0 and 1.1 used the rounded point and did not save house numbers. If a connection is unavailable or the service fails, the entry is still saved. You can try the address lookup again from the entry’s details later.
How do I delete an entry?
Open a visit from the map or history, tap the delete action and confirm. It disappears from your journal. Deleting the app also deletes its local storage; backups are managed separately in Apple settings.
Postcards, repeat visits and languages
An English interface, postcards and Here again are available from version 1.1. Version 1.0 has a Russian interface and does not include these features. Version 1.2 adds five postcard layouts and venue types.
How do postcards work?
A postcard is created on your iPhone. Preview the finished image and choose whether to include the place name, date or note before sharing. Version 1.2 offers five layouts — Stickers, Passport, Certificate, Meme and Pass the throne — and a separate place-type field. The name and type are off by default and have separate controls. You can also hide the city and country. Addresses and coordinates are not included. A long note is shortened to 180 characters, including the ellipsis; the preview shows the final text.
Tap “Share postcard” to open the system share sheet, then choose an app, recipient or Save to Files. The app does not request photo-library access or save images directly to Photos. The “Maybe share later” preference does not publish anything automatically.
What does “Here again” do?
From version 1.1, it opens a new-entry form with the familiar place name and saved location, but the current date. Version 1.2 also reuses the saved place type. Rating, tags, note and visibility start fresh. Saving adds a separate visit to the journal; the original entry stays unchanged. Cancelling the form saves nothing.
How do I choose a language?
Russian and English interfaces are available from version 1.1. You can choose the app language in iOS Settings if your device offers that option. Place names and notes you enter are not translated. Cities and addresses supplied by Apple may remain in Russian; countries are displayed in the selected language when their code is available.
