Does the app need an internet connection?
No. Expeditions, your Atlas, saved tickets, and optional reminders work offline. Opening this website, emailing support, or choosing a cloud destination for an export uses the relevant external service.
How do I back up or move my Atlas?
In the app, open Settings → Export local data and choose a location in the system file picker. On your other iPhone, use Settings → Import from a file. Confirm the import after the preview. Importing the same file again does not duplicate existing entries.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual entries in the Atlas, remove saved tickets, or choose Settings → Delete all local data and confirm. Exported files and iOS backups are separate copies: manage them in their storage location or device backup settings.
How do reminders work?
Reminders are off until you enable Settings → Daily reminder. They are local notifications at your chosen time. Turn the switch off to remove the app’s reminders. If permission was denied, allow notifications in iOS Settings.
How do I change the language?
The app follows your iPhone language or the per-app language you choose in iOS Settings. Small Outside is available in English and Russian.
Do I have to finish or take a photo?
No. You may return at any time, finish without a trace, or cancel. Photos and notes are always optional.
Choose familiar public surroundings and respect weather, traffic, accessibility, and other people’s privacy. Stop whenever a prompt does not fit. Read the use & safety notes.
